Scotland’s premier music festival and only 11 years old is situated in the beautiful Scottish countryside of Balado near Kinross. For many Scottish fans this is an alternative to Glastonbury. Over the last few years, the music line up has been first class, leading to the event selling out all 60,000 tickets. The music style is eclectic, you may see David Bowie, Basement Jaxx, Wu Tang Clan, Kate Melua, Strokes and Muse all on the same weekend. The festival also promotes unsigned bands, so there is always the chance of seeing the next big band when they were unknown.
Most of the tickets on offer are weekend (camping) tickets. There are also a limited amount of day tickets for each separate day of the festival. Most people camp but some stay in local hotels and travel to the site daily.
